This is the first week for Sharon B's TAST. I am trying for sort of a landscape block.I did the fly stitch like Sharon's example on the green silk in different colors and threads. Also started a few leaves next to the waterfall. Did a fly stitch motif on the light blue. will add beads to that later. thank you.

Here is a picture of my naked orange block for CQfor Newbies in the yahoo groups. Also after I stitched on a corner. This is a round robin where 4-5 girls will work on the same block, pass it on until everyone gets their original block back! lots of fun, lots of talent and you get to see first hand everyones' stitches!

You are in for a real treat! I took over 100 photos and can NOT post them all!! LOL but met a friend from online 5 years and finally meeting! TALKED to Sharon Boggon from Australia, Betty Pillsbury! and Allie Aller was there too!! met a lot of friends from CQ and was able to stay (we are only 30 minutes away in CT) for their Show and Tell! very honored! Maureen Gleeson from Stitching Fingers and Susan Elliot put this together! Awesome treat for the NE! Enjoy the pics!
Ok, maybe Marianne (in blue jeans and top-holding a CQ pic we did in CQ4N landscape with dragons) and Ginny on the couch can help me with some of the names! I know Ingrid was writing all of them down!

In International Hand stitchers we did a bird swap and Janies bird flew in today! Just beautiful and so much work to it! the feathers are long and graceful! the beak is beaded with tiny gold beads! and she sent me some extra beads to use also! thank you so much Janie!

Good Morning! In my International Hand Stitchers group, Barb challenged us to do a stitch sampler.I used Aida cloth as I figured it would be easier to stay straight and narrow! The more stitches I added, 29 I believe at the moment, using the alphabet and a book my friend Marianne from NJ, from CQ for Newbies group sent me last week, I think I am going to finish this into a book cover! thanks Ladies!

Ok, guessing ENGLISH is NOT my first language! LOL!
I made the birds..with the patterns..but if I had actually READ the patterns, I would have had less issues! LOL
The pic on the floor of all the birds, well the RED one is very very fat. more like a pin cushion..it appears I was reading the pattern wrong.. yes Barb...it seems when it says on the fold fabric 1 and then fabric 2.. means cut ONE of each!! LOL, I cut two of the bellies, sewed them to the bird then together, making the VERY FAT BIRD!! so the black and white one looks a bit better..then you have the ugly bird..sorry Ann, that was my first one and your fabric!! gonna try / attempt to fix/correct so it doesn't look quite so ugly!!! still have feathers I can add!!

In my Fiber Art Traders group we were asked to make ATCs from Lost and found objects in our sewing kits!! I found my Dad's army papers when he was stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas, copied them and used them in my ATC along with a few papers printed , some old jewelry and stars.

My oldest granddaughter asked me to make her a Christmas stocking, she went through all my "fancy" fabrics and decided what embellishments to use! I finished it the other evening when they came over to decorate my tree...yes, 3 grandchildren, 8, 6 and 3 decorated my tree, by themselves! LOL...ok, it's different, and they used every single ornament the could find on it too!
but the stocking Ash says is for Santa's present.. He gets the giftie but she keeps the stocking! sounds fair to me! LOL!

We did a sewing kit swap and the sewing kit I received was from Barb! full of goodies inlcuind tea! which we both love! She included quite a few things she had made from wool! some coasters and that cute little bug! a scissor keep with scissors, threads, thimble and all!
We also are doing a secret sister swap and this is the bag of goodies I received, aida, lots and lots of floss and quite a few pattern books!

Oh my! Lesleys block has arrived and I must say, it was well worth waiting for! all of the blocks that came in are just gorgeous! such a lot of talented ladies, so many beautiful stitching!
will be sending them back to new owners tomorrow...thank you ladies for a fun swap!!Lesley also added lace around the outside of the block and white satin on the back to cover the stitch back..along with a card for it's new owner! just lovely!

We swapped needlecase in my CQ group, Chain of Hearts! Such lovely work from all three ladies! All unique! love the white one, so dainty, feminne, the yellow one is sp summer like with the Brown susan flower, the flowers, and the charm! and the larger one has ribbon embroidery, and some applique which si just gorgous! want to trade that technique next! All three will come in handy!

In my Fiber arts group, we are making mini scrapbooks.. I chose the explosion one..it folds down to 4 " but is acutally three sheets of paper/board 8 " square!
then I added stamps, fabric, lace, etc to intensify it.
